Communications Manager
Role Summary
The Communications Manager leads internal and external communications that support company growth, reputation, and employee engagement across North America. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing Communications, this role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and cross-functional teams, translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives. The manager also supports media relations efforts and develops integrated communication plans across internal and external channels in partnership with writers, designers, and digital teams.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies aligned with business goals, brand positioning, and employee needs.
  • Partner with functional leaders on change communications, organizational updates, and employee initiatives.
  • Advise senior leaders on messaging, narrative development, and communication approach.
  • Create executive communications, including leadership messages, presentations, and talking points.
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, timely, and aligned across internal and external channels and all North America locations.

Media Relations & External Communications
  • Support North America media relations activities in coordination with Marketing and global communications teams.
  • Identify newsworthy stories and thought leadership opportunities with subject matter experts.
  • Draft and review press releases, media statements, and external messaging.
  • Prepare leaders for media interviews and external visibility opportunities.
  • Monitor media coverage and manage reputational issues in collaboration with leadership.
  • Ensure content accuracy and compliance with brand, legal, and regulatory standards.

Experience & Education
Required
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, public relations, or journalism.
  • Proven experience developing and executing internal and external communication plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging for senior leaders and diverse audiences.
  • Direct experience with media relations, including press outreach and media inquiries.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with publishing and design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite).
