Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a System Administrator and support the Service Desk within Operational Infrastructure and Networking & Firewall Delivery subgroups within Transmission Technology group in the Transmission Services business line. The organization provides hardware maintenance and lifecycle support for the Control Center and Field Management systems and networks. The organization also provides General Support System infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, emergency response, client support, system energization/acceptance testing, and performance analysis and trending. This position will field telephone calls, voicemails and emails from IT clients, resolve or refer IT issues, track issues using a central incident management application and may run various diagnostic programs for troubleshooting or monitoring purposes.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full time on site based in Vancouver, WA with on site 5 days per week. The hourly pay rate range for this position is between $45.00 and $53.00 depending on qualifications.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

An Associate or Bachelor's Degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related technical discipline is preferred:
With an applicable Associate or Bachelor's degree: 3+ years of experience is required.
With a degree not in applicable fields or no degree: 5+ years of experience is required.
Experience must include direct work experience in Information Technology performing System Administration.
A practical knowledge and experience sufficient to successfully perform Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
Windows operating system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience using Powershell
Administration of print servers, network printers, and basic troubleshooting of printer services.
A working knowledge and experience sufficient to successfully troubleshoot Windows operating systems using text-based logs, windows event logs, and various utilities.
A valid Driver's License or RealId is required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience setting up and administering an enterprise PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) certificate infrastructure.
Experience administering computer systems in a 24/7 high availability operational environment.

Experience with Cisco command-line interface (CLI) for network device configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues within complex authentication systems, such as LDAP, Kerberos, or Active Directory, and Multi-factor authentication systems.

Security & Compliance Reporting
Administration and maintenance of computer systems infrastructure management tools or systems including anti-virus, patch deployment, log management, software deployment and backup and recovery functions.
Administration and maintenance of network and direct attached server technologies including SCSI, iSCSI, CIFS, and SMB technologies.
Administration of virtualization technologies including VMWare and Hyper-V.
Administration and maintenance of GPS time distribution systems.
Experience administering both network and host-based firewalls.
Experience troubleshooting LAN connectivity problems.
Experience administering DNS in a multi-domain environment.
Experience using specific technologies such as Splunk, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Apache, Wireshark, Sysinternals Tools, Checkpoint Firewall, HP ProLiant server hardware, KVM hardware, PowerShell.
