Job Description:

The Strategy Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the planning, execution, and evaluation of critical enterprise initiatives across the Petcare North America (NA) region. These initiatives may support value leadership through cost savings as well as business continuity and resilience objectives. The role partners closely with regional Project Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure initiatives are effectively scoped, planned, executed, and assessed post-launch.

This role plays a key part in driving disciplined execution, improving visibility to risks and issues, and fostering a culture of operational excellence across enterprise programs. This role is responsible for enterprise projects that requires partnerships with functional leaders and cross-functional teams. The position will partner with a cross-functional team of experts including Marketing, Strategy, Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance. Role is responsible for leading projects from ideation to post launch.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or the Equivalent

  • 3 years of business experience, including one year of Project Management experience or related work (preferably in CPG industry and/or marketing function)

  • Experience across multiple business functions desired

  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of business experience, including 2+ year of Project Management experience or related work (preferably in supply chain or related area)

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or related field

  • Familiarity with Sopheon Accolade a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project & Smartsheet

What will your key responsibilities be?
  • Project Management: From Charter Development to Post-Launch Review. Develop all Gate documents to support the project life cycle using Mars' in-house QES process, facilitate the cross-functional team to define the Critical Success Factors (CSF's), conduct the Risk Assessment and determine the Feasibility Scores for all activities and develop project timelines.

  • Building Effective Teams: Set up and chair project team meetings, resolve cross-functional issues, and manage the communication flow between all functions and levels within the organization. Keep team members motivated to achieve commitments

  • Project Governance: This role governs adherence of projects to the Mars' QES stage and gate process. This includes making clear and visible all deliverables required at each stage and ensuring that project plans in place at each gate passing will deliver the Critical Success Factors agreed for the project. Responsible for presenting project status, gate documents, risk, and risk mitigations through multiple forums include forums.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Partners with business, data, and technology stakeholders to identify AI use cases and translate them into scalable solutions.
