The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise technology, integration, and business transformation initiatives across AFC Industries. This role partners closely with executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives while supporting acquisition integration, ERP implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Activities and responsibilities include:

  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that support AFC's growth strategy.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize project scope and priorities.
  • Managing and tracking multiple IT projects such as ERP System conversions, software development/deployment, and corporate business integrations to successful completion.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects in alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive briefings.
  • Track project KPIs and provide transparent reporting on progress, milestones, and budget burn.
  • Manage vendor and third-party relationships, contracts, and deliverable accountability.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project artifacts and lessons learned.
  • Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes.
  • Develop and deploy training resources.
  • Assist with managing integration efforts with acquired companies.
  • Assist with project tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Degree in project management, information technologies, or equivalent work experience
  • Certification or experience with PERT project management methodology
  • Prefer experience within the warehouse distribution industry

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a project manager
  • Experience with managing ERP migrations is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to successful completion.
  • Preference for experience as an operator in the components distribution and warehousing functions

Professional Skills:

  • Proficient in Office 365 applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated skill and solid expertise in project planning, management, and reporting
