ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM 

 

SITA is on the lookout for a recent graduate to join our SkyStar Program within the Strategy & Growth Enablement function, initially for a 12 period, with opportunity to become permanent.

Your main tasks as Graduate- Strategy & Innovation, will involve supporting the daytoday operations of SITA’s Central Innovation Fund (CIF). Working closely with more senior members of the Strategy & Innovation team, and the wider S&GE team, you will take ownership of clearly defined tasks across intake administration, portfolio documentation, reporting, and event support. You will learn the mechanics of stagegate governance, how innovation projects are evaluated and funded, and how to communicate progress to stakeholders. This role is a handson opportunity to build the foundations of a career in innovation and strategy in a supportive, structured environment with regular guidance and feedback.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Central Innovation Fund — Operations Support

  • Support the CIF intake funnel: help collect and organize submissions, perform basic eligibility checks against defined criteria, and flag questions to your manager.
  • Help prepare materials for stagegate reviews and steering forums under the guidance of senior colleagues; take meeting notes, capture decisions, and track followups.
  • Maintain the portfolio trackers (pipeline, stage, budget, decision logs) — keep entries accurate, complete, and up to date.

Reporting & Data Support

  • Pull data from internal systems and populate monthly budget and portfolio reporting templates in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Build clear charts and summary slides to visualize portfolio progress; incorporate feedback from your manager to improve drafts.
  • Prepare clear, concise notes and summaries for the immediate team and direct stakeholders.

Enablement Support for Project Teams

  • Support innovation project teams by sharing templates, guidelines, and useful resources; answer basic questions and escalate more complex ones.
  • Help compile lightweight business cases and customer test plans using existing frameworks and templates.
  • Capture learnings from project reviews and add them to the internal knowledge base.

Governance & Documentation

  • Keep CIF policies, templates, and guidance documents organized and current under your manager’s direction.
  • Support vendor onboarding paperwork and basic compliance checks in partnership with Finance, Legal, and Procurement colleagues.
  • Identify when to ask for help, when to research independently, and when to escalate.

Community & Culture of Innovation

  • Help organize demo days, showcases, and learning sessions — logistics, invites, agendas, and followups.
  • Draft short writeups of project wins and learnings for internal communications, working from supervisor guidance.
  • Participate actively in team discussions; share useful learnings and resources with colleagues.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Engineering, Sciences, or a relevant field (recent graduates welcome).
  • 0–1 year of professional experience — internships, university projects, or first roles in innovation, strategy, consulting, product, or operations are all relevant.
  • Solid working proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; comfortable building clean slides and basic charts.
  • Strong written and verbal English; able to write clear summaries and present comfortably to immediate team members and direct stakeholders.
  • Wellorganized, detailoriented, and reliable; able to manage multiple small tasks to deadline with guidance.
  • Open to feedback, eager to learn, and comfortable asking clarifying questions.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Required:

  • Structured Thinking: Approaches assigned tasks methodically and is learning to apply simple MECE frameworks.
  • Ownership & Time Management: Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, manages time to meet deadlines, and seeks guidance when planning or prioritizing.
