The Strategy Associate within the Enterprise Strategy and Analytics team is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven frameworks that enhance decision-making, performance visibility, and risk management at HireRight. This dynamic role involves executing deep-dive analytics to characterize business value drivers and identify growth initiatives and working with cross functional analytics partners to ensure the supporting data infrastructure is in place.  Critical to the success of HireRight’s rapid value creation journey, this role also drives strategic and operational planning and ensures integration with long-range financial forecasts.
The ideal candidate will have experience in business operations, strategy, and analytics, with a track record of success driving optimal decision-making through data-driven and collaborative problem-solving approaches. Experience leading business analytics workstreams, partnering with stakeholders, and establishing data-driven processes and performance management are highly desirable. Critical characteristics for success include strong cross-functional skills, exceptional communication, and accurately performing analytics that generate actionable insights, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a high degree of business acumen.

This is a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite) located our downtown Nashville office.


  1. Value Analytics and Growth Initiatives: Lead deep dive value analytics to identify and characterize business value drivers. Develop and recommend strategic initiatives that will drive growth and enhance business performance.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including technology, finance, operations, and other business units, to gather insights and ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.
  3. Analytical Partnerships: Own and manage relationships with key analytical partners such as EDM and Finance. Collaborate with these partners to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for strategic decision-making.
  4. Strategic and Operational Performance Management: Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable and measurable objectives that align with the company's long-term vision. Characterize performance, driving organizational accountability and a full potential mindset
  5. Operational and Financial Planning: Integrate strategic and operational plans into long-range financial forecasts. Ensure that financial projections accurately reflect the impact of strategic initiatives and business value drivers.
  6. Initiative value tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to track the progress of strategic initiatives. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on performance trends and areas for improvement.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in strategy and analytics. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the strategy function.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 2-3+ years of experience in strategy, business analytics, management consulting, or a related field, preferably within a technology or high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools; excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Data analysis tool proficiency preferred (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with building dynamic operational and financial models is a plus.
