Position Overview

Bernstein Private Wealth Management is a premier investment management firm advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. As an industry leader, we put people first and pride ourselves on selecting and developing high caliber talent.

We are seeking an Associate to join the National Associate Team (NAT) based in our Nashville headquarters. This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to be at the forefront of an important strategic initiative that will provide national exposure across our Private Wealth Management business. The NAT Associate will be a part of a mobile unit ready to support Private Wealth sales and service teams in offices across the country as the result of disruption in the local market (e.g., employee turnover, extended leave, etc.). Their work will be high-impact and dynamic.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide all aspects of client servicing for high-net-worth clients and prospects in any of our 20 offices, including portfolio analytics, asset allocation modeling, new client onboarding, and account transactions

  • Build trust & creditability with colleagues and teams across our business to uphold client service excellence

  • Serve as a Center of Influence for Associate teams, particularly new Associates coming out of training

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency on local teams and proactively address current needs

  • Prepare and present consultative observations from engagements to senior management

Associates will participate in a robust and comprehensive training program - The Associate Development Program (ADP). After years of heavy financial investment and input from industry leaders, ADP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. The Program is designed to build a foundation of investment knowledge and develop the quantitative and qualitative skills needed to achieve long-term stability and success, regardless of your incoming background.

Components of the Associate Development Program (ADP) Include:

  • In-depth industry training on proprietary investments, services, policies and procedures

  • Advanced training on trusts & estates, wealth planning, investment management philosophies, and financial management strategies

  • A focus on client service excellence, partnership and sales training in order to provide an exceptional client experience

  • Behavioral training geared toward the development of communication, leadership, and other professional skills

  • Career management, one-on-one coaching, and specialized skills training to achieve success beyond the Associate role

Associates have a myriad of opportunities to continue their career with us as a client service professional or in areas including Leadership, Wealth Strategies, Investment Strategies, and building their own business as an Advisor. We take all of our Associates' development seriously, and we focus on understanding each individual's strengths and aspirations, personalizing a roadmap with the success of each team member in mind. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree with excellence in academics and at least 1+ years of experience in finance

  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses

  • Proficiency in Word and Excel

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure independently and as part of a team

  • Proven track record of performance in current role

  • Flexibility to travel periodically to our U.S.-based Private Wealth offices (up to 1 week every 3-4 months)
