Job description

Associate Brand Manager

At Mars, we believe great brands create meaningful connections with consumers and drive sustainable business growth. We are seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join the Petcare marketing team and support the development and execution of brand strategy, integrated marketing initiatives, and innovation programs that strengthen brand performance and accelerate growth.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and agency partners, this role will help bring brand initiatives to life by leveraging consumer insights, marketplace trends, and making data-driven recommendations. The Associate Brand Manager will play a key role in driving consumer engagement and delivering Sales, Share, and Household Penetration objectives while helping identify opportunities to grow the Mars Petcare brands.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • 1–5+ years of marketing experience, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Other relevant CPG experience considered.

  • Experience supporting brand strategy development and execution.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build alignment without direct authority.

  • Proven analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret consumer, customer, category, and competitive data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset with a balance of creative thinking and business acumen, coupled with a passion for building brands and driving meaningful consumer experiences.

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Support the development and execution of brand strategies and integrated marketing plans that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and achievement of Sales, Share, and Household Penetration objectives.

  • Translate brand strategy into impactful marketing initiatives across digital, social, e-commerce, and traditional channels, partnering with agency teams to deliver effective brand activations.

  • Lead the development and execution of promotional programs and customer-specific initiatives in collaboration with shopper marketing, sales, and other cross-functional partners.

  • Analyze consumer, customer, brand, category, and competitive performance data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend opportunities for growth.

  • Represent Marketing within cross-functional business teams, supporting the development, commercialization, and execution of innovation and key brand initiatives.

  • Assist in leading cross-functional project teams through planning, execution, and post-activity evaluation, ensuring key deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.

  • Manage advertising and promotional budgets, monitor expenditures, and capture key learnings to continuously improve future marketing activities.
