About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Brand Strategist who is equal parts strategic thinker, cultural observer, and innovation driver to join our team. This role thrives in a fast-paced, creative, and highly collaborative environment.

You'll dive deep into understanding our clients' businesses, categories, brands, products, services, and the people they serve, then translate those insights into breakthrough brand and packaging strategies that drive meaningful change.

You help teams and clients answer not just what to do, but why it matters-and what to do next.

This role reports to the Associate Brand Strategy Director.


About you:

You know how to turn research, data, and trends into clear insights and actionable strategy, bringing structure to ambiguity and connecting dots across category, consumer, and culture to define meaningful opportunities. You have a strong foundation in brand strategy, are comfortable contributing to innovation work, and are energised by emerging trends.

You balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, able to lead while also rolling up your sleeves to build the work. You communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, guiding teams and influencing clients, and you collaborate openly, valuing diverse perspectives to create work that is both strategically sound and creatively inspiring.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to brand strategy, insights, and innovation work across client engagements
  • Conduct and synthesise:
    • Category and landscape assessments (including retail and competitive audits)
    • Insights identification, data mining, and strategic analysis
    • Consumer Trend identification and translation into actionable opportunities
  • Develop core strategic outputs, including:
    • Brand Charter Creation (Promise & Positioning Elements)
    • Naming & Verbal Strategy (general creative writing a plus)
    • Brand Architecture
    • Translate brand strategy into actionable design direction, defining the semiotic principles, territories, and guardrails that inform creative development
  • Contribute to product innovation efforts, including ideation, concept development, and storytelling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities and elevate the strategic impact of ongoing work
  • A strong storyteller able to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively through compelling presentations and narratives
  • Contribute to Qualitative Research studies, including screeners, discussion groups, and analysis
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite


Desired experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
  • 4-7 years of experience within branding, design, strategy, or innovation, ideally within an agency or CPG environment
  • Experience across categories (CPG preferred, but not required)


Location:

This role is open to candidates in Central or Eastern time zones, with candidates located in or near Cincinnati, OH; Fairfield, CT; and Chicago, IL preferred.
