Overview

The Senior Brand Strategist serves as the day-to-day brand strategy lead on accounts in the healthcare industry, marketing to both consumers and healthcare professionals. You are responsible for guiding the strategic development of creative campaigns and tactical assets that effectively reach and motivate the target audience. You serve as the subject matter expert on the target audience and the competitive set, and partner closely with team members to deliver exceptional ideas and creative work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day brand strategy efforts, including writing creative and tactical project briefs, providing strategic guidance during the creative development and review process, and helping sell in ideas and work to clients 
  • Lead development of strategic deliverables, such as POVs, message maps, and consumer journeys 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the target audience and assist with market research efforts to uncover target insights, including primary and secondary research methods 
  • Conduct competitive analysis and monitoring to identify threats and opportunities for the brand 
  • Partner with cross-discipline and cross-agency team members to ensure the dots are connected across channels and tactics 
  • Determine success metrics and partner with data and analytics team on identifying and applying performance learnings 
  • Assist with leading annual brand and tactical planning efforts 
  • Develop powerful presentations to communicate strategies and recommendations to internal teams and clients 
  • Build strong relationships with clients 
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members 
  • Assist with new business and organic growth efforts as needed
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in a strategy role in advertising or marketing 
  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing preferred
  • Experience with marketing to healthcare professionals (HCPs) a plus 
  • Strategic thought leader with ability to use consumer insights, data, and other inputs to inform the development of strategies and plans 
  • A strong and effective communicator (written and verbal) 
  • Expert level attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to problem-solve and get things done 
  • Collaborative with the ability to partner closely with cross-discipline team members 
  • Ability to successfully work with and guide senior-level clients and internal agency teams
