Job description

Description

The successful candidate will be located in the Savannah (preferred) or Bluffton, SC area. Unable to sponsor.

Why This Role Matters

Clearwave Fiber doesn't expand by gut feel or guesswork. Every new market we enter represents millions of dollars in capital investment, years of operational commitment, and long-term community impact.

The Market Strategy Analyst sits at the center of those decisions.

This role identifies where we build next, why it makes financial sense, and how we win. Your analysis directly informs executive go/no-go decisions, shapes network expansion strategy, and influences the deployment of capital across our footprint.

If you want your work to matter - visibly, financially, and strategically - this is it.

What You'll Own:

Market Intelligence & Decision Support

  • Lead data-driven evaluations of prospective broadband markets using demographic, competitive, infrastructure, and economic data.
  • Build and maintain market scoring models that assess competition, density, income levels, construction feasibility, and return potential.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations executives can act on.

Financial & Expansion Modeling

  • Develop high-level financial and operational models to evaluate new market builds, network extensions, and strategic expansion initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering and construction teams to incorporate desktop cost estimates, competitive ride-outs, and preliminary designs into market feasibility.
  • Support capital allocation decisions tied to multi-million-dollar infrastructure investments.

Strategic Market Screening

  • Proactively identify, screen, and rank potential markets based on pre-established and evolving criteria.
  • Produce feasibility studies, SWOT analyses, and go/no-go recommendations for leadership.
  • Track trends in fiber deployment, competitor behavior, regulatory shifts, and local economic indicators that impact expansion strategy.

Executive Communication

  • Prepare investment memoranda, dashboards, and executive-level presentations for senior leadership.
  • Clearly communicate risks, assumptions, and upside potential - not just the data behind them.
  • Serve as a trusted analytical partner to Market Expansion, Finance, Engineering, and Sales leadership.

What Success Looks Like

  • Leadership trusts your analysis when deciding where to spend and where to walk away.
  • Markets are entered with confidence, not surprises.
  • Expansion decisions are faster, smarter, and better aligned to Clearwave's long-term growth goals.
  • Your work directly influences revenue growth, network footprint, and competitive advantage.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Market Research, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in market analysis, strategy, finance, or data-driven roles (telecom, broadband, infrastructure, or utilities strongly preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with GIS tools, FCC Broadband data, and data visualization platforms (Power BI or similar).
  • Strong analytical judgment - you can work independently and defend your conclusions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and imperfect data.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site market assessments.

Why Clearwave Fiber

  • High-growth fiber company with aggressive expansion goals
  • Direct visibility to senior leadership
  • Real influence over strategy and capital deployment
  • Work that leaves a lasting footprint in the communities we serve

Benefits:

Clearwave Fiber appreciates the role our associates play to help the company grow, and in return an excellent benefits package is offered to our associates to recognize the importance of their contributions such as:

  • Competitive pay ($80-100k DOE) and lucrative bonus plan
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans - start when you start!
  • Life insurance (self, spouse, children)
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401(k) - 100% company match (vesting and matching starts upon hire, up to 4% of eligible compensation)
  • Employee Assistance Plan
  • Employee Referral Plan

Additional Perks

  • Free services, if living within service area
  • Tuition reimbursement - Clearwave Fiber encourages staff members to pursue ongoing education and gain industry certifications
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • Associate recognition program
  • Advancement opportunities
  • Collaborative work environment
