Overview
We're looking for a Manager, Commercial Strategy for our office in Alpharetta, GA. This is a full-time, onsite position. You'll join the Strategy and Commercial Operations team to drive strategic segment growth and support executive decisions.
About the role
In this role, you'll develop deep insights into Aptean's strategic segments through analysis of performance data, customer feedback, and market research. You'll work within the Strategy and Commercial Operations team, reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy. Your recommendations guide sales, marketing, product, and finance teams toward improved segment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of assigned strategic segments, including performance trends, customer needs, sentiment, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess segment performance across retention, bookings, services revenue, customer health, product utilization, and cost-to-serve metrics
  • Identify key risks, opportunities, and emerging trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations and strategic priorities
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to align on segment strategy and support successful execution
  • Develop business cases, commercial narratives, and executive-ready presentations that connect data, customer insights, and market context to business decisions
  • Communicate strategic recommendations and performance insights to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and progress against objectives
  • Track actions, manage dependencies, resolve issues, and drive timely follow-through to achieve desired business outcomes

About you
To excel in this role you should have:
  • Experience in commercial strategy, business analysis, revenue operations, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management consulting, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data, market insights, and business performance metrics into strategic recommendations and measurable outcomes
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify meaningful trends, validate findings, and draw data-driven conclusions
  • Strong strategic thinking, program management, and project management skills, with the ability to balance long-term priorities and day-to-day execution
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and contribute across a range of business topics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to synthesize complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations, business cases, and commercial narratives that support decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to analyzing information, managing initiatives, and solving business challenges

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:
  • Experience analyzing customer, market, bookings, pricing, or retention data
  • Familiarity with SaaS or software business models
  • Experience with Salesforce
