Job description

Position Summary:
Leidos is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee program execution in support of the C3HST Program. The selected candidate will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and customer engagement to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical capabilities supporting national security objectives.
The Program Manager will serve as the primary interface between Leidos leadership, government customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional technical teams. This role requires extensive experience managing complex DoD programs, leading geographically dispersed teams, and executing programs within cost, schedule, and performance requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of program management expertise and technical understanding across defense systems, mission operations, communications architectures, systems integration, cybersecurity, and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of program execution, including cost, schedule, technical performance, staffing, and risk management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute program management strategies to support mission objectives and customer priorities.
  • Manage cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, operations, cybersecurity, logistics, and acquisition personnel.
  • Oversee program financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and security policies.
  • Identify program risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, program reviews, status reports, and customer updates.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and partner organizations to support integrated program execution.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Support business growth initiatives, capture activities, and strategic planning efforts as required.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment focused on innovation and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant program management experience supporting DoD or national security programs (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary defense programs.
  • 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
  • Experience supporting C4ISR, SATCOM, cyber, intelligence, cloud, network modernization, or defense technology programs.
  • Experience managing program cost, schedule, and technical performance within contractual requirements.
  • Experience interacting with senior government, military, and industry stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Ability to travel as required to support customer and program activities.
  • Strong understanding of defense systems integration, mission operations, communications systems, cybersecurity, or related technical domains.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Technical background in systems engineering, network operations, cybersecurity, software integration, or communications architectures.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
