Description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Field Commissioning & Startup Manager to support the installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and turnover of controlled environmental room systems across the United States.

This role is ideal for an experienced field professional with a background in critical environments which could include: HVAC, refrigeration, BAS/BMS controls, mechanical systems, electrical systems, commissioning, cleanrooms, pharmaceutical environments, or technical construction.

The successful candidate will lead onsite field activities, coordinate subcontractors and trades, support system startup and troubleshooting, and act as a key technical representative during project execution and customer turnover.

This position is based in North Carolina, with possible requirements for travel throughout the United States on other project sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate onsite installation, startup, and commissioning activities
  • Supervise subcontractors and multiple trades during project execution
  • Support troubleshooting of HVAC, refrigeration, controls, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, controls contractors, TAB agencies, and customers
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to support field execution
  • Assist with system functional testing, punch listing, and customer turnover activities
  • Support startup and commissioning of controlled environmental rooms and related systems
  • Ensure field work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements
  • Manage field issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Participate in scheduling, pull planning, and coordination meetings
  • Travel to project sites throughout the United States may be required
  • Provide technical support during warranty and post-installation activities



Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent technical field experience
  • 5+ years of relevant field or commissioning experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in active construction environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel extensively within the United States
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel by air
