As a Technical Manager in Software Engineering, you will be responsible for providing project definition and implementation through hands-on management of software development teams leveraging Agile Scrum development and project management best practices defined by the company.You will undertake the execution of software development projects to achieve the company's strategic objectives and must work closely with Product Leaders & other managers.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in office and the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architecture, project ownership, and team leadership.
  • Lead team(s) of talented software developers in building applications and platforms using modern Typescript, React, NodeJS, .NET Core, SQL Server, and AWS technologies.
  • Manage and coordinate projects within teams and across departments. Act as a player coach.
  • Work directly with senior leaders in Sales Organizations and Product Leaders to design applications that amaze your customers.
  • Apply sound quality management methods, tools and techniques to create and support defect-free application software that meets the needs of the organization
  • Act as "Voice of the Customer" when participating in product readiness reviews

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person university or college
  • A track record of commitment to previous employers
  • Full stack development experience
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience
  • A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products
  • Experience using Typescript, Elastic, C#, SQL Server, and AWS technologies
  • Proficiency in Continuous Delivery best practices
  • Understanding AI technologies and has hands on experience in AI adoption and development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers and senior management)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading products throughout the software development life cycle
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
  • Familiar with Marketing Eco-Systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot is a bonus.
