We are currently seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager with technical leadership and management experience to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities: Agile Product Owner with management oversight responsibilities on assigned capability development efforts - assigning developers to specific contracts and tasks and ensuring developers are working efficiently to deliver planned functionality on schedule and budget. Oversees Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, standups and retrospectives.

Oversees development team adherence to software development processes and quality standards. Identifies functional resource requirements (staffing, tools, lab, training and other needs) and assists in acquisition and implementation. Responsible for software development teams of 10-20 individuals.

Functional management responsibilities include: Assignment and monitoring of work tasks, oversight of technical basis of estimate efforts, time card approvals, providing performance evaluation/reviews, career planning, and training development required for direct reports. Conduct staffing and manpower planning to support current and anticipated projects, including interviewing and hiring personnel as required. Define, communicate and coordinate staffing priorities as well as funding requirements with the appropriate project leads.

Act as a stakeholder for programs ensuring product area is appropriately represented. Providing status to Senior Functional leadership. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics, with technical management experience) or equivalent related work experience; Master's degree in an engineering discipline or math is strongly preferred * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance, U.S.

Citizenship is required * This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s) * A minimum of 5-7 years of technical management experience is required * Prior experience with US Navy Aegis IAMD (Integrated Air and Missile Defense) We invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
