Job description

Theย Rental Account Managerย will have responsibility for growing the long-term profitability of the rental product lines through direct business to business sales. The position will be responsible to increase revenues, grow the customer base and manage existing accounts in the areas of fleet planning and profitability. The position requires an aggressive, self-motivated individual with a strong sales aptitude and a desire to progress within the company.

HLAs HIGH LEVERAGE ACTIVITIES (focus actions that will return the highest impact):

  • Identify, pursue and maintain a constant flow of potential customers that meet or exceed established goals through prospecting, networking and referral activities.
  • Drive the rental fleets revenue by maintaining strong relationships with local and regional customers and maintaining high product utilization.
  • Provide long and short-term solutions to the customers operational and financial needs.
  • Ability to converse with C-Level customers and prospects on the financial and operational aspects of full-service lease.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

  • Maintain a constant flow of potential customers that meet or exceed established goals through prospecting, networking and referral activities.
  • Drive the rental fleets revenue by maintaining strong relationships with local and regional customers and maintaining high product utilization.
  • Be the industry expert regarding products, benefits, equipment specs, pricing, availability and product capabilities.
  • Recommend solutions to customer needs based on customer interests.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features and solicit orders.
  • Prepare lease & rental proposals that meet specific customer needs.
  • Identify prospective lease & rental customers through sales activities and efforts.
  • Monitor market conditions and product innovations within the lease & rental industry.
  • Maintain records of contracts, accounts and orders within organizational CRM.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION:

  • College Degree preferred.
  • A high school diploma, or equivalentย required.
  • Combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years of proven sales and customer service experience is desired but not required.
  • Proven detail oriented and results-driven sales representative with the ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and deal with people.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule and work at the location of the assigned territory.
  • Valid drivers license required.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The position is located in the office and shop environment as well as duties performed outside. Mobility of walking, standing and bending is frequent. Dexterity, hearing and talking requirements are constant. Visual ability to detect situations of concern is constant. The employee will occasionally lift up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to meet the public and make decisions. Exposure to heat, cold, dust and dirt. Travel required.
