Job Overview:
As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and fulfillment process, responsible for coordinating and managing shipments. Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely shipping of products to customers or other destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Verification: Review and verify accuracy of customer orders, including product types, quantities, and shipping addresses.
  • Packing: Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, packing products securely, and labeling packages with shipping information.
  • Shipping Coordination: Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers or freight services, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Documentation: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation. Ensure all shipping paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Inventory Management: Update inventory records to reflect shipped items and report any discrepancies to the inventory control team.
  • Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness. Report and address any issues, damages, or shortages.
  • Communication: Communicate with other departments, including the warehouse, customer service, and transportation, to relay information about shipments and address any concerns.
