Job description

Overview
This is a fixed-term position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2027, subject to business needs and funding.
The Merchandising Coordinator supports the Category Management team across assigned areas by assisting with New Item setup, vendor agreements and communication, project updates, data validation, insurance documentation, invoicing, product attribute certifications, and policy acknowledgments.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining 100% accurate item and vendor setup.
The coordinator works cross-functionally with Category Management, Replenishment, Operations, Data Integrity, and Supply Chain to provide updates on how this project is tracking.
This position is based in Phoenix and reports to the office Tue-Thur weekly.
Essential Functions
  • Maintains new and existing item setup.
  • Supports onboarding of new vendors and tracks progress throughout the onboarding process.
  • Manages new item submissions from intake through activation, ensuring all required information is submitted, reviewed, completed accurately and on time, and tracks progress throughout the process while coordinating with Category Management, Data Integrity, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Operations, and IT to support successful item setup and launches
  • Ensures uniformity and consistency across all department documents and communications.
  • Maintains Sprouts culture and strong working relationships with vendors and co-workers.
  • Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient computer and systems skills, with the ability to learn and navigate multiple platforms.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating organization, effective multitasking, prioritization, and a high attention to detail.
