District Service Development Manager

Position Responsibilities
  • Deliver in-field coaching to technicians during live repair work to improve diagnostic skills, repair quality, and execution discipline
  • Reinforce standardized diagnostic processes, including root cause analysis and repair verification, to reduce repeat repairs
  • Partner with branch leadership to align technician development with operational goals such as first-time-fix rates and efficiency
  • Track technician progress, identify skill gaps, and adjust coaching plans to support ongoing development
  • Maintain a strong field presence while providing feedback, insights, and recommendations to improve service performance
Position Requirements
  • 3-5 years of management level experience in shop and service management, within the construction equipment rental industry is preferred.
  • Extensive experience as a senior-level technician with advanced troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Proven ability to coach and develop technicians in field or shop environments
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment systems, repair practices, and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and translate complex issues into practical guidance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Ability to work independently in field environments with frequent travel between locations
