Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and defines system architecture for Windows desktop solutions and client- based applications
  • Supports the integration of the Windows desktop with a variety of enterprise services
  • Evaluates desktop software and hardware technologies and determines the most efficient method to leverage the technology within the customer’s network environment.
  • Administer, operate, manage and maintain components for Windows desktop deployments to include virtual and thick client environments.
  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients
  • Plans and directs upgrades of Windows desktop operating system version(s) and supporting infrastructure and related components.
Required Skills:
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.
  • Active TS/SCI and CI Polygraph
  • MECM / MCM packages experience as well as vast knowledge in OSD (O/S Deployment), MDT (Microsoft deployment toolkit) and Intune.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop design engineering and implementation options.
  • Experience with Microsoft deployment tools to include Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Experience with engineering and deploying client software installation packages for Microsoft Windows desktops (physical and virtual).
  • Experience with Application Virtualization to include, Citrix XenApp, Citrix App Layering, Microsoft APPV, and MSIX App Attach.
  • Experience with maintaining Windows desktop systems for mobile users on laptop hardware.
  • Experience with anti-virus and malware product integration within a Windows desktop configuration and remediation.
  • Rapid software fix deployment for desktops and servers 
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and VMware Dynamic Environment Manager.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with managing and updating work tasks using ServiceNow.
  • Experience with maintaining system security compliancy following DISA STIGs.
Required Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 4 additional years of experience in information technology.
Required Clearance
  • Active DoD TS/SCI
