Job description

We are PMG

PMG, a global independent platform company engineered for impact, integrates business strategy, media, creative, and data within a single operating model powered by our proprietary operating system, Alli. With more than 1,000 employees, PMG partners with brands including Apple, Nike, Dropbox, Experian, Sephora, and Whole Foods. The Transformation Strategy Senior Manager is an experienced practitioner and emerging leader who drives high-impact strategic engagements across business transformation, consulting and go-to-market strategy. This role operates at the intersection of consulting rigor and modern marketing capability, guiding clients through complex business challenges with the depth and discipline of a top-tier management consulting firm.

The Transformation Strategy Senior Manager is expected to frame core business problems, shape transformative solutions, manage cross-functional project teams, and build trusted, lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders. They bring a strong point of view, command executive rooms, and translate strategic ambiguity into clear, actionable direction.

This is a versatile leadership role. Depending on client context and business need, the Transformation Strategy Senior Manager may be operating in one or more strategic domains, from business and organizational transformation, marketing and growth strategy, technology and digital enablement, to data and AI-driven decision-making.

What You Will Do

Business and Transformation Strategy

  • Lead the design and execution of complex analytical studies, such as market entry evaluations, organizational assessments, digital transformation readiness analyses, and marketing effectiveness reviews, to inform C-suite level decisions.
  • Develop comprehensive business transformation roadmaps, defining key strategic initiatives, sequencing timelines, outlining resource requirements, and embedding critical change management considerations.
  • Facilitate executive workshops and conduct senior stakeholder interviews to define strategic objectives, surface critical business issues, and co-create solutions with client leadership.
  • Manage project teams across the full delivery lifecycle, from initial problem framing through final presentation, ensuring the quality, timeliness, and strategic impact of all workstreams.

Client Engagement and Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day strategic partner to senior client stakeholders (Director to VP level), proactively managing expectations, surfacing risks, and navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships that extend beyond individual engagements, positioning the team as a long-term strategic partner to client leadership.
  • Present strategic findings and recommendations to executive audiences with clarity, authority, and a strong, defensible point of view.
  • Identify whitespace: surface unmet needs within client organizations and translate them into scoped, well-defined strategic engagements that deepen the partnership.

Strategic Analysis and Problem Solving

  • Frame ambiguous, high-stakes business problems using structured consulting methodologies (issue trees, hypothesis-driven approaches, scenario planning) to guide rigorous analysis.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into insight-driven narratives that connect business strategy to measurable outcomes.
  • Evaluate competitive landscapes, macroeconomic conditions, consumer behavior shifts, and technology inflection points to build strategic perspectives that are both grounded and forward-looking.
  • Identify where AI, automation, and emerging technology create real transformation leverage (not just efficiency gains) and build that perspective into client recommendations.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

  • Structure and lead engagement teams of junior and mid-level strategists. This means defining the work plan, assigning ownership, setting quality standards, and running the rhythm of an engagement.
  • Actively mentor junior strategists in core consulting disciplines including structured thinking, data analysis, executive storytelling, and stakeholder management.
  • Champion the integration of AI-enabled tools and automation into engagement delivery, elevating both the quality and efficiency of strategic work.

Capability Building, and Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital: proprietary frameworks, published perspectives, reusable methodologies, and internal training that raise the collective capability.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to pitch narratives, proposal development, and strategic positioning for new client opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of macro trends in business, marketing, measurement and technology to bring fresh, forward-looking perspectives to client engagements and developing proprietary thought leadership.

What You Will Bring

  • 6 to 9 years of professional experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or an advisory capacity, with direct accountability for leading client-facing engagements and managing project teams.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-workstream projects from problem definition through recommendation delivery, with accountability for quality and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyze P&Ls, evaluate market dynamics, assess organizational structures, and connect business fundamentals to strategic recommendations.
  • Fluency in structured problem solving, including hypothesis generation, issue decomposition, and evidence-based argumentation.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience managing, developing, and mentoring junior team members in a project-based or engagement-based environment.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Strategy, Marketing, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of and a passion for AI strategy, data and technology enablement in a business or marketing context.

What We Offer

  • Professional Development: Take advantage of our learning and development programs, mentorship opportunities, and career advancement support.
  • Generous Time Off: Enjoy generous paid time off and holiday allowances to recharge and spend time with loved ones.
  • Parental Leave: We provide paid parental leave to support your family during important life events.
  • Retirement & Pension Plans: Plan for your future with competitive retirement or pension programs, including contribution matching.
  • Fertility and Family Support: Access fertility benefits for all team members and their spouses.
  • Healthcare: Coverage and support for everyday medical expenses and routine care, tailored by geography.
  • Pet Insurance: Protect your pet's health and your finances.
  • Lifestyle Spending Accounts: Enjoy 100% company-funded accounts to promote healthy habits and well-being.
  • Commuter Benefits: Access support for travel and commuting needs, where available.
  • Annual Bonus: All employees are eligible for an annual bonus.
  • Volunteering Opportunities: Receive 8 give-back hours to volunteer in your local communities.
  • AI Enterprise License: Access AI Enterprise accounts and participate in weekly AI training sessions to empower and ensure AI safety.

Benefits vary by country, location, and geography to reflect local laws, norms, and expectations.
