Job description

Our Framingham, MA office is looking for a Senior Scheduler with a background in advanced scheduling, progress management and measurement, and analysis for Construction, Engineering, Commissioning, and Validation Pharmaceutical Cleanroom and Manufacturing for projects. The Senior Scheduler will work closely with Project Management and Field staff to create and maintain schedules; perform risk analysis and mitigation; and to support project teams in executing successful projects.
The Senior Scheduler must be able to supervise a team of schedulers on larger EPCMV projects and provide planning support for Conceptual and Design Phase Projects in developing high level project execution schedules.
Responsibilities

  • Effectively articulate Industry Standards that apply to planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure schedule has complete scope coverage, identify potential scope growth, and ensure allowances and contingencies are appropriately used.
  • Consult with project, construction, and procurement managers to create update and analyze CPM schedules; recommend workarounds and schedule improvement ideas to regain schedule slippage.
  • Resource and Commodity Load Schedules. Explain the advantages and levels of effective resource loading.
  • Apply Cost loading when required by contract.
  • Implement and maintain Schedule Change Management.
  • Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate performance against schedule and preparing project progress reports.
  • Facilitates multi-company interactive pull planning sessions and implements the Last Planner System.
  • Effectively communicate schedule status at a client level or informal meetings.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, estimating, and construction management to properly sequence the work, assess durations, and enhance the overall quality and accuracy of the plan.
  • Utilize resource loading to coordinate the project's earned value system with schedule updates.
  • Develop EPCMQV detailed schedules with a minimum of supervision.
  • Create and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • A working knowledge of construction techniques, timelines, and practices.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in Engineering/Construction Field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Client and all stakeholders at multiple levels; build and maintain positive relationships with all project partners.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations if needed.
  • Pharma/Biotech/Life Sciences background preferred but not required.
