Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Risk and Reliability, located in Jacksonville, FL or Limerick, Ireland.

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Risk & Reliability is a key member of the Surgical Vision Supply Chain team, responsible for leading risk, reliability, and rapid response efforts across the end-to-end Surgical Vision supply chain for the Implants portfolio (IOL, OVD, and Inserters). This role ensures continuity of supply and customer service by proactively identifying risks and rapidly resolving critical supply disruptions through cross-functional leadership.

This position requires a deep understanding of the business segment and end-to-end supply chain, along with strong cross-functional collaboration across Plan, Make, Engineering, Source, Deliver, IT, and Quality to strengthen strategic reliability and risk management processes.

Under the direction of the Director of Reliability, the Senior Manager is accountable for delivering the Reliability and Risk Management program, driving governance processes, and operating effectively across multiple levels of the franchise and global supply chain. The role leads both short-term rapid response activities and long-term risk mitigation efforts, ensuring alignment and execution across end-to-end supply chain functions.

Accountabilities:

  • Initiate and lead Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) composed of cross-functional SMEs including Technical Operations, Quality, Planning, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and External Manufacturing
  • Manage multiple concurrent RRTs to contain and resolve supply chain disruptions in a timely and effective manner
  • Drive accountability across all levels of the organization to ensure execution of mitigation actions
  • Lead high-priority issue resolution efforts, minimizing risk to business operations and customer impact
  • Own and drive structured escalation processes including STEM, LTEM, and End-to-End Reliability governance
  • Assess risks, evaluate trade-offs, and make data-driven decisions using sound business judgment
  • Develop and deliver executive-level communications, including concise summaries of issues, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Lead proactive risk management and resilience initiatives to identify and mitigate enterprise-level threats
  • Conduct resilience assessments and drive implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Hold teams accountable for root cause identification and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Identify systemic issues and trends across products, sites, and suppliers; apply lessons learned to prevent recurrence
  • Partner with Value Stream Leaders to drive continuous improvement and capability-building investments
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across global, matrixed teams to influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality system requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or University degree is required; a technical degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred. An Advanced degree is preferred

Required:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries is required
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional programs and rapid response or issue resolution teams is required
  • Strong project and program management capabilities, including risk assessment, prioritization, and escalation is required
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead in a matrixed environment without direct authority is required
  • Experience in root cause analysis, investigations, and CAPA execution is required
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments is required
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes across Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver is required
  • Experience working in global, cross-cultural, and virtual teams is required

Preferred:

  • Experience in Operations, Technical Operations, Quality, or Planning is preferred
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) is preferred
  • Project Management certification (PMI or equivalent) is preferred

Other:

  • May require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites
