Job description

A hospital in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a senior-level Director of Risk Management. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing risk management functions at an acute care facility, with an expectation of regular in-person presence at the location. Partial relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
The role. The Director of Risk Management will lead risk identification, mitigation, and compliance initiatives across the organization. This individual will work closely with clinical and administrative leadership to develop and maintain programs that minimize organizational risk and support a safe care environment. The role requires direct, on-site engagement and involves cross-functional collaboration with providers, operational leaders, and compliance stakeholders.
What we're looking for.
• Current (or eligible) New Mexico RN license required
• Five years of healthcare experience with at least three years in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; advanced degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, or MBA) strongly preferred
• Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred
• Preferred: Experience facilitating relationships with providers
• Preferred: Ethics & Compliance experience
Compensation. $125,000 - $150,000 per year
