About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH):
Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services - including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight-loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women's and children's services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
Responsible for the Risk Management (RM) and Loss Prevention (LP) programs from an operational perspective. Accountable for the leadership, planning, innovation, governance and management necessary to identify, evaluate, and monitor the company's financial risk. This Leader collaborates with the SMG members and UHS corporate personnel in risk management and overseeing risk management activities of the organization to provide and maintain safe, high quality patient services. Promotes collaborative relationships among the medical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system. Serves as the facility Risk Manager and has a broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss and is the onsite lead HIPAA Officer, Corporate Compliance Officer and Patient Safety Officer. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, AHCA, other regulatory agencies and the UHS T.E.R.M. Program.Demonstrates practices that promote the Mission and Vision of UHS and Manatee Memorial. Exhibits Service Excellence at all times and other duties as assigned.
