Job description

Location:Onsite, four days per week - Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Provide strategic leadership in managing the company's insurance and risk management programs to safeguard assets, minimize exposure, and ensure compliance-while driving innovative solutions that support business resilience and growth.

Specific Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

  • Shape and execute a future-focused insurance and risk strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Establish policies, tools, and frameworks that integrate risk management across the enterprise

Risk Identification & Mitigation

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments covering operational, financial, compliance, and strategic domains.
  • Design and implement risk mitigation programs and insurance infrastructures that optimizes total cost of risk.

Insurance & Claims Management

  • Lead the formulation of the company's insurance portfolio; negotiate coverage, premiums, renewal terms, and insurer relationships.
  • Oversee claims management processes - including oversight of subrogation, audits, and resolution strategies.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Guide cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to embed a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Develop and deliver training programs in risk mitigation, insurance processes, compliance, and loss prevention.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and present risk profiles, metrics, and insurance reports to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Enhance and communicate the internal allocation of total cost of risk.

Incident Management & Loss Control

  • Lead investigations into significant incidents or losses, offering insights and corrective action frameworks.
  • Implement proactive loss control and safety initiatives to reduce exposure across operations.
