Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Procurement will develop a strong understanding of business processes and systems across the purchasing and supply chain functions. This role leads initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance supplier performance, and support scalable growth. The ideal candidate is analytically driven, systems-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management
  • Lead the development and execution of category strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend to support growth and cost optimization
  • Conduct category spend analysis, supplier segmentation, market assessments, and risk evaluations to identify value-creation opportunities
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to align category strategies with product formulations, production requirements, food safety standards, and financial objectives
  • Monitor category performance, market trends, and commodity fluctuations to proactively adjust strategies
Supplier & Key Account Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key account suppliers
  • Provide planning and organizational support for new product launch initiatives
  • Oversee supplier onboarding and raw material setup processes
Systems & Digital Enablement
  • Support and optimize procurement-related systems, including NetSuite
  • Lead implementation of a Supplier Management system
  • Implement a new ticketing system to track Purchasing requests
  • Manage Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint file structure and collaboration workflows
  • Improve internal communication structures and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process digitization and partner with IT on implementation
Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reporting for procurement and supplier performance
  • Manage supplier diversity reporting
  • Track dry goods inventory and identify reduction opportunities
  • Identify areas for enhanced procurement analytics and partner with IT to implement improvements
Business Administration & Leadership
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members on systems, reporting, and SOPs
  • Identify organizational improvements, staffing needs, and structural enhancements to support growth
  • Partner with leadership to hire and onboard new team members as needed
  • Document and maintain departmental SOPs
Project & Program Management
  • Lead projects and programs focused on operational and systems improvements
  • Manage cross-functional IT initiatives related to supply chain and procurement transformation
  • Present to, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to senior leadership
  • Drive procurement transformation initiatives, including re-architecture, re-engineering, simplification, automation, and productivity improvements
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks; implement corrective actions
  • Reduce dry goods footprint and aging inventory
  • Develop deep understanding of purchasing systems and workflows to drive improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Production, R&D, and Quality to improve system integration, processes, and communication
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, IT, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets
  • Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Project, Planner, and Visio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and meet aggressive performance metrics
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong aptitude for systems, spreadsheets, processes, and continuous improvement
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with a desire to understand and improve how systems and processes work
  • Formal project management training preferred
