The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing will develop and lead end-to-end planning and sourcing activities across our Consumer-Packaged Goods business, ensuring we deliver exceptional service to customers while optimizing costs, inventory, and working capital.This role is critical to balancing the realities of food manufacturing-including demand fluctuations, ingredient availability, production constraints, and commodity market volatility-while driving scalable processes that support future growth. You'll play a key role in shaping our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and helping the organization make informed, data-driven decisions.Who you'll be working with.Based out of our Eden Prairie, MN office, and reporting to the General Manager of Consumer-Packaged Goods, you'll partner closely with leaders across Sales, Finance, Operations, Plant Leadership, Quality, Logistics, and Research & Development to align demand, supply, and business objectives. You'll build strong relationships with suppliers, co-manufacturing partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable sourcing, efficient production, and exceptional customer service.This is a dynamic and hands-on leadership role that serves as the bridge between strategy and execution, helping teams work together to achieve business goals while navigating the complexities of a growing and fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Who you are.You are a hands-on supply chain leader who enjoys building strategy and making it happen. You bring experience across demand planning, supply planning, procurement, inventory management, and food manufacturing, with the ability to move between executive discussions and day-to-day problem solving. You identify opportunities, you take ownership and drive results.You are equally comfortable evolving new processes, negotiating with suppliers, reviewing inventory positions, supporting manufacturing teams, and resolving supply disruptions. With a continuous improvement mindset, you lead through change, develop high-performing teams, and create alignment across the organization while maintaining a relentless focus on service, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.What you'll do.Lead integrated supply chain planning across demand, supply, production, inventory, and financial planning activities.Drive forecast accuracy and manage demand variability associated with seasonalityand new product launches.Translate demand plans into executable production and supply plans while balancing service, capacity, and cost objectives.Develop sourcing and purchasing strategies for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.Build and manage supplier relationships focused on quality, food safety, reliability, and cost competitiveness.Establish inventory strategies that optimize service levels, freshness, working capital, and waste reduction.Lead continuous improvement initiatives involving ERP, MRP, APS, analytics, and planning processes.Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Logistics, and R&D to drive business performance and successful execution.What you bring.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.10–15+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership within CPG food manufacturing.Expertise in S&OP and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.Strong procurement and strategic sourcing experience, including commodities and packaging.Experience managing ingredient, raw material, and packaging supply chains.Strong understanding of food manufacturing requirements, including shelf life, food safety, quality systems, and production constraints.Advanced analytical capabilities and experience with ERP, MRP, APS, and supply chain planning systems.Demonstrated success leading teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving organizational change.Ability to travel 20-30%What we offer.Grain Millers offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
