Senior Instructional Designer
American Credit Acceptance (ACA)
 
Help shape how people learn and grow at ACA.
American Credit Acceptance is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer who enjoys building learning solutions, leading program design, and working closely with others to make them happen.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative onsite role, where you’ll partner with SMEs, build learning experiences together, and see the direct impact of your work across the company.
 
What You’ll Get to Do
Design and lead impactful learning programs
  • Lead the design and development of engaging training across eLearning, instructor-led, and blended formats
  • Turn complex business or compliance topics into clear, learner-friendly content
  • Design full programs and learning paths that support associate and leader development
  • Partner with subject matter experts to identify needs and build meaningful learning solutions
  • Facilitate training sessions, especially for programs you develop
 
Help power learning through technology
  • Manage and optimize ACA’s LMS to support the delivery, tracking, and maintenance of learning programs
  • Build and manage courses, curricula, and learning paths
  • Maintain system accuracy and support a strong learner experience
  • Create dashboards and reports to track participation and learning impact
 
Shape how learning evolves at ACA
  • Partner with leaders to solve business challenges through training and development
  • Establish strong standards for instructional design, structure, and quality
  • Mentor and support other team members
  • Use data and feedback to continuously improve learning programs
  • Contribute to scalable processes, documentation, and best practices
 
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience in a professional or corporate environment
  • Strong experience creating eLearning using Articulate Storyline or similar tools
  • Experience designing and managing large or complex learning programs
  • Experience owning or leading end-to-end learning programs (not just individual courses)
  • Experience facilitating training in classroom or hybrid environments
  • Experience supporting or administering a Learning Management System
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Proficiency in visual design and graphic best practices, with the ability to create clean, engaging learning materials
  • Experience developing instructional videos or multimedia learning assets
Preferred Experience
  • Cornerstone OnDemand
  • Finance and/or auto lending experience
  • Experience designing leadership development or competency-based programs
  • Experience mentoring others or serving as a senior team resource
