  • Leading the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of operational documentation, learning resources, and performance support solutions, including SOPs, process documentation, participant guides, user guides, job aids, FAQs, videos, and other instructional assets.
  • Analyzing complex business processes by partnering with stakeholders and SMEs to gather, validate, and translate information into accurate, user-centered documentation and learning resources.
  • Applying instructional design principles, adult learning theory, process mapping, decision trees, and conditional logic to create intuitive, scalable documentation that supports knowledge transfer, operational consistency, and business objectives.
  • Evaluating existing documentation and business processes to identify gaps, inconsistencies, opportunities for standardization, and improvements.
  • Leading documentation discovery efforts by identifying decision points, exceptions, dependencies, and workflow logic to ensure documentation accurately reflects end-to-end processes.
  • Leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to improve content development efficiency while maintaining accuracy, quality, and a user-centered approach.
  • Managing multiple documentation initiatives simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while delivering high-quality solutions within established timelines.
  • Driving documentation projects from discovery through implementation, proactively resolving ambiguities, making recommendations, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Mentoring and coaching instructional designers, trainers, and content contributors by promoting documentation standards, instructional design best practices, and user-centered design principles to ensure consistency across team deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Communication, Organizational Development, English, Communication, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, technical or procedural writing, operational documentation, or learning and development supporting complex business or technical environments preferred.
  • Exceptional technical and/or procedural writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex business processes into clear, concise, user-centered documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, technical writing, process mapping, decision trees, and conditional logic.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects, exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high-quality work with minimal direction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to create accurate, polished, and user-centered documentation.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify decision points, exceptions, workflow dependencies, and opportunities to improve documentation and business processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., Monday.com), and enterprise learning or knowledge management platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, mentor peers, and influence documentation standards and best practices across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
