Job description

FACILITIES SECURITY OFFICER (FSO)

NineTwelve is currently seeking an individual to fill a Facilities Security Officer position in the Crane, IN area. Potential candidates must have an active Top Secret government security clearance and relevant prior experience in Industrial Security and Facility Management or related fields and must be a certified FSO. This is a full-time, onsite position at a secure facility in Crane, IN.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and uphold industrial and personnel security programming maintaining compliance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07, 32 CFR part 117, and other relevant Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.
  • Maintain and manage Facility Clearance Level (FCL) ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare for and undergo security audits, government inspections and self-inspections, in accordance with DCSA compliance
  • Routinely operate within databases such as DISS, NISS, NBIS, NCAISS, etc.
  • Process and manage personnel security clearances; oversee clearance ownership, verify visitor clearances, COMSEC, CAC verifications, etc.
  • Establish and implement security procedures pertaining to facility security, visitor control, secure spaces, etc.
  • Ensure proper handling of secure materials
  • Prepare and administer annual security education and training to maintain compliance for all cleared employees
  • Participate in the Insider Threat Program (ITP)with organization’s security lead
  • Facilitates day-to-day security functions; foreign travel, facilitating personnel inquiries, investigations, reporting requirements, violation investigations, initial security briefings, debriefs, etc.
  • Serve as liaison with customer, DoD and IC agencies such as DCSA, and private contractors as applicable and required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/ active Top Secret security clearance
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience
  • Extensive understanding and knowledge of the NISPOM, CFR 32 part 117, and other ICD standards
  • Strong understanding of physical security
  • Extensive experience and comfortability using and operating within DISS, NISS, NBIS, eQIP, JPAS, SWFT
  • Experience in SCIF, secure space, and closed area construction, operations, and management
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant security regulations and forms
  • Completion of CDSE FSO Certification


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to use good judgment, diplomacy, maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion on various operational matters.
  • High level of skill in composition, grammatical editing and proofreading are required.
  • Must be a motivated, adaptable team player with the ability to exercise initiative and to work well with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects necessary.
  • Must have strong problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as attention to details.
  • Must be able to work independently, requiring minimal supervision with the ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • CDSE FSO Certification (preferred)


COMPENSATION

  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits include company sponsored health insurance, 401(k) and two (2) weeks PTO for full-time employees. Company is willing to assist with relocation fees if candidate is not currently living in Indiana.
