Open Enrollment Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Type: Full‑Time, Seasonal (Open Enrollment Period)

Pay: $25/ hour

Required License: Resident Insurance Producer License (Health & Life)

Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Open Enrollment Specialist to support our client-focused health insurance efforts during the peak enrollment season. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with brokers, HR professionals, and insurance carriers to guide employees and individuals through benefit selections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients and employees during open enrollment meetings (in-person and/or virtual)
  • Explain health and life insurance options in a clear, compliant manner
  • Create and distribute personalized enrollment materials and guides
  • Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance throughout the process
  • Utilize agency systems to enroll participants accurately and track forms
  • Follow up on incomplete enrollments or documentation
  • Stay current on policy updates, state-specific regulations, and enrollment timelines
  • Maintain organized records and report enrollment metrics as needed

✅ Qualifications

  • Active Minnesota Resident Insurance Producer License (Health & Life) — required
  • 1+ years’ experience in health benefits enrollment, insurance sales, or benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans and compliance requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient computer skills — Excel, Outlook, and benefit administration systems
