Job description

Director of Commercial & Open Enrollment Programs
Everblue • Huntersville, NC • HybridAbout Everblue
Everblue helps government agencies and nonprofits run better through software, program management, and workforce training. Our open-enrollment courses train individual professionals in BPI, RESNET, LEED, electrification, and more. Our commercial contracts deliver custom training and program support to state agencies, utilities, and corporate partners across the country. We're a small, mission-driven team that's low-ego, hardworking, and obsessed with getting it done and done right. The role
We're hiring a Director of Commercial & Open Enrollment Programs to own Everblue's non-WAP workforce business. You'll report to the Senior Director of Workforce Development and lead the managers responsible for our open-enrollment course portfolio and our commercial contracts (currently Hawaii TREC, NEWA, Virginia EECBG, and more). The job is to drive revenue growth, delight every customer, and find the next great line of business. What you'll own
  • Leading the team. Coach and hold accountable the Open Enrollment Manager, the Hawaii / NEWA / Virginia EECBG Manager, and the supporting data and enrollment staff.
  • Owning customer relationships. Get on a text-message basis with the senior-most contacts at our commercial and state customers. Know every contract inside and out.
  • Driving revenue and growth. Hit your numbers on open enrollment. Grow our footprint in priority states.
  • Driving profitability. Manage contract deliverables so customers are delighted and the economics work. Spot risks early.
  • Adapting and expanding. Try new programs and markets. Kill what doesn't work. Help us stand up the next great line of business.
What we're looking for
  • 5 to 10 years leading multi-program teams. Workforce development, training, education services, or B2B / B2G program experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and (when needed) parting ways with team members.
  • Customer instinct. You build trust with senior client stakeholders quickly and keep it.
  • Adaptability. You embrace experiments and you're comfortable when the business changes.
  • Commercial cleverness. You know how to delight customers and protect the P&L at the same time.
  • A bias to deliver on the intent behind every task, not just the letter of it. When you're handed a problem, you go figure it out. No excuses, no reminders needed. (If A Message to Garcia doesn't already mean something to you, give it a read.)
  • Someone who stays curious and keeps ego low. You'd rather get the right answer than be the smartest person in the room.
Our values
  • Mission-Driven. We get it done and done right. We deliver on the intent behind every task. We own the outcome.
  • Relentless Pursuit of Excellence. We challenge the status quo, stay curious, keep ego low, and stay efficient and resourceful.
  • People First. We lead with trust, stay personable and real, and work hard and play hard.
Why you'll love working here
  • Mission that matters. Your work powers real workforce, energy, and efficiency programs across the U.S.
  • Hybrid setup based at our Huntersville, NC office. Flexible enough to do great work and have a great life.
  • Competitive compensation with bonus eligibility, a SIMPLE IRA with company match, and a health reimbursement program.
  • A small, capable team that moves fast, ships well, and stays out of each other's way.
