Director of Sales Training, BIOTRONIK NEURO

The Director of Sales Training is responsible for establishing and executing the U.S. training strategy for BIOTRONIK Neuro's field sales and clinical organization. This role leads the development of training programs that drive commercial excellence, improve sales performance, and ensure consistent execution across the organization.
The Director oversees all aspects of training, including new hire onboarding, certification, advanced sales training, and leadership development. This individual ensures the field is equipped with the clinical knowledge, product expertise, and business acumen required to effectively position BIOTRONIK Neuro's therapies and drive adoption.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive training programs aligned with corporate goals and commercial strategy
  • Oversee new hire onboarding, certification programs, and ongoing training for sales and clinical teams
  • Develop and implement training focused on sales execution, territory management, and physician engagement
  • Ensure field teams are proficient in product knowledge, therapy application, and competitive positioning
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Commercial Excellence to align training with business priorities
  • Establish performance metrics to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify performance gaps and deploy targeted training and retraining initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop training team members, including the Training Manager role
  • Support development of training materials, policies, procedures, and certification standards
  • Maintain expertise on industry trends, therapies, and competitor offerings

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Experience in neuromodulation or implantable medical device therapies
  • Experience training both individual contributors and sales leaders
  • Experience building certification programs or structured onboarding initiatives
  • Background in digital health, remote monitoring, or service-based healthcare models

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly manages Sales Training team, including Training Manager and supporting roles

Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office and field-based environment. Responsibilities include both in-person and virtual training delivery.
Physical Demands:
Ability to facilitate training sessions, including standing for extended periods and handling equipment (up to 25 lbs). Regular use of standard office and presentation equipment is required.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position. Standard business hours apply, with flexibility required based on training schedules and business needs. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Travel:
Approximately 40-60% domestic travel required to support training programs, field engagement, and company meetings.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
If not already certified, must complete BIOTRONIK Neuro product and therapy certification.
