Position Overview
As Director of Sales & Operations, you are the face of FastSigns Alcoa. You own the relationship from first contact to finished product. You understand the full lifecycle of a sign and print business. From estimating, production workflow, vendor relationships, client management, team leadership, and closing deals, you are the driving force behind the success and growth of the department.

This is not a back-office role. You will be in the market, in front of customers, building a book of business, and building up an internal team to help you drive growth.

What You'll Own
  • Drive new business development  (prospecting, cold outreach, networking, community presence)
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts  (upselling, retention, and referral generation)
  • Produce accurate and competitive estimates for sign production, screen printing, apparel, and promotional products
  • Oversee production floor operations and ensure on-time, on-spec delivery
  • Collaborate with design and production teams on client specs and approvals
  • Recruit, train, and develop a sales and support team as the business scales
  • Report directly to ownership with clear KPIs, pipeline reporting, and growth targets
  • Develop pricing strategies, vendor relationships, and supplier negotiations
  • Champion company culture  (this is a team-first, excellence-first environment)

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years in the sign, print, or visual communications industry in a sales or operations leadership role
  • Deep working knowledge of sign production  (substrates, installation, vehicle wraps, channel letters, wide format, apparel, promo)
  • Proven track record of building and closing a sales pipeline independently
  • Experience estimating projects and timelines
  • Strong communicator who can represent the brand professionally at every level
  • Owner mentality  (you treat the business like it's yours because we want you to act like it is)
Top Candidates Have:
  • Experience managing a production team or shop floor
  • Existing relationships with commercial contractors, developers, or retailers in any market
  • Comfort with CRM tools, quoting software, and basic production scheduling systems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action over analysis paralysis
  • Willingness to relocate to the Knoxville/East Tennessee area

Compensation & Benefits
We believe in paying for performance and rewarding people who build real value. Compensation is designed to be highly competitive and structured to grow with the role.
  • Base salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based commission and bonus structure with uncapped earning potential
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
  • Opportunity to grow into a equity or profit-sharing arrangement as the business scales
  • Paid time off, holidays, and a flexible environment built on trust and results
Who We Are
FastSign Alcoa is not a corporate machine. We're a driven, close-knit team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We move fast, solve problems, and celebrate wins. The people who thrive here are self-starters who want ownership over their outcomes.
- East Tennessee is one of the best places in America to live and build a life! Low cost of living, incredible outdoor access, a booming economy, and a community that still feels like community. If you've been waiting for the right market and the right company, apply now!
