Job description

Sales Development Representative

At DevRev, we're building the future of work with Computer your AI teammate. Unlike traditional tools, Computer unifies all your data sources, tools, and workflows into a single AI-ready platform, giving employees real-time insights, proactive suggestions, and powerful agentic actions. It extends your existing software with AI-native apps and agents that work alongside your teams and customers updating workflows, coordinating across teams, and eliminating repetitive work. We call this Team Intelligence: human-AI collaboration that breaks down silos, brings people back together, and frees you to solve bigger problems. Backed by Khosla Ventures and Mayfield with $150M+ raised, DevRev is trusted by global companies across industries.

About the Role

As part of the Revenue organization at DevRev, we are growing our team and hiring talented, ambitious, and AI-native Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in Austin, Texas.

As an SDR at DevRev, you will operate at the intersection of sales, AI, and customer intelligence. Your mission will be to expand DevRev's customer base, generate qualified pipeline, and help shape our go-to-market strategy. Rather than relying solely on traditional prospecting methods, you will leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to identify opportunities, personalize engagement, and build meaningful relationships with prospective customers at scale.

In this role, you'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to refine messaging, uncover market insights, and continuously improve how we engage with customers.

Our office is located off 6th Street, and we work in-office three days per week.

What You'll Do
  • Expand our pipeline by identifying and engaging high-quality prospects across target accounts and market segments.

  • Research accounts, stakeholders, and buying signals using AI-powered tools and modern prospecting techniques.

  • Build personalized outreach campaigns across email, phone, text, social, and emerging channels.

  • Set up introductory meetings with target influencers and key decision-makers.

  • Qualify prospects by understanding their business challenges, priorities, and goals.

  • Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies and create high-quality pipeline opportunities.

  • Leverage AI-assisted workflows to increase productivity while maintaining thoughtful, high-quality engagement.

  • Develop, test, and optimize messaging, prompts, and prospecting playbooks to improve conversion rates.

  • Analyze prospect interactions, engagement data, and market trends to continuously improve targeting and outreach effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and account information within DevRev's CRM.

  • Act as the voice of the market by sharing customer insights, objections, and feedback with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Revenue teams.

  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, sales methodologies, and industry trends to continuously evolve your prospecting approach.

What We're Looking For
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent educational or professional experience.

  • Prior experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), Account Executive (AE), or similar customer-facing role.

  • Experience selling SaaS, technology, or IT-related products.

  • Experience with sales engagement platforms such as Outplay, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar technologies to support research, personalization, and workflow optimization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to combine AI-generated insights with human judgment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.

  • A growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to experiment and learn quickly.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and highly collaborative environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Genuine ability to build trust and connect deeply with people.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding how businesses operate.

  • You embrace AI as a force multiplier and continuously look for ways to work smarter and create more value.

  • You are highly coachable and eager to learn.

  • You enjoy experimenting, measuring results, and iterating quickly.

  • You are resilient, resourceful, and energized by building something from the ground up.

  • You care deeply about creating meaningful customer relationships, not just generating activity.
