Michael Jordan's Restaurants are a collaboration between Cornerstone Restaurant Group (CRG) and the greatest athlete of his generation, Michael Jordan. Located in the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, Michael Jordan's Steak House, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, and Sol Toro are a collection of elevated food, thoughtful beverages, and Heartfelt Hospitality. 


Sales & Events Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage all inquiries, proposals, and sales opportunities related to group dining, private events, and restaurant buyouts. 
  • Drive proactive sales efforts through lead generation, outside sales, networking, relationship building, proposal development, and contract negotiation to grow event and catering business across 3 restaurant locations. 
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain all event contracts and agreements, ensuring accuracy and full documentation of event details in TripleSeat and OpenTable, and overseeing proper execution from booking through completion. 
  • Conduct client meetings to confirm event details, expectations, and logistics, and provide on-site event support when necessary to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experience. 
  • Lead weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings with management and operations teams to review upcoming events, staffing needs, and operational requirements. 
  • Monitor sales performance and assist in forecasting revenue related to group dining, private events, and marketing initiatives. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed monthly pace reports tracking event bookings, sales progress, pipeline health, and overall business trends. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, local businesses, Mohegan Sun, and industry networks to expand brand awareness and drive new business opportunities. 
  • Collaborate closely with restaurant leadership and marketing teams to identify and execute promotional initiatives that support revenue growth, guest engagement, and brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience, minimum 2 years F&B sales experience: professional references required
  • Strong selling skills with a proven track record for increasing sales
  • Ability to appropriately cost out menu packages to meet margins
  • Strong ability to set weekly/monthly/annual sales projections and report current sales trends for store and comp. restaurants
  • Must create a 30/60/90 marketing plan to increase revenue for private event department, every quarter
