KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Payroll Coordinator in Lake Forrest, Ca.

Position Summary
The Temporary Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing weekly payroll for a high-volume workforce of 150+ employees in a fast-paced construction environment. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely tax payments while maintaining continuity during a leave of absence.

Key Responsibilities
* Process weekly payroll for 150+ employees, including field and office staff
* Review and validate timecards, job cost coding, and pay rates for accuracy
* Coordinate with field supervisors to resolve missing or incorrect time entries
* Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, deductions, and corrections
* Manage and submit state payroll tax deposits in compliance with deadlines
* Process and administer garnishments, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions in accordance with legal requirements
* Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation for audit purposes
* Assist with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting (if applicable)
* Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end close
* Utilize Sage 100 Contractor for payroll processing and reporting

Qualifications
* 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or high-volume environments
* Proven experience processing weekly payroll for 100+ employees
* Experience handling payroll tax deposits and compliance
* Experience managing garnishments and court-ordered deductions
* Proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor (or similar payroll/accounting system)
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
* Proficient in Excel

Preferred Experience
* Experience in heavy civil, paving, or construction industry
* Knowledge of prevailing wage, certified payroll, and/or union payroll
* Familiarity with job cost structures and field time tracking
