Job Summary
SAP Manager is responsible for effectively leading SAP IS-U and CRM systems that support the Customer Service meter-to-cash business processes that support assigned business areas. This role works collaboratively with these Business areas and the IT Senior Leadership team in gathering, analyzing, characterizing, balancing and prioritizing assigned projects. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day application of maintenance requests. Additionally, this role will focus on understanding customer needs, meeting SLA's, assessing initial project requirements, and providing on-going IT guidance.
SAP Manager is responsible for defining and delivering the IT Applications Roadmap aligned with Business Area Strategies, Objectives and Priorities. By engaging in a collaborative, team-based approach, this role will link business area needs with value-added services and IT technology strategies. Role is responsible for managing the Application Map that falls under their assigned areas and seeks opportunities to improve efficiencies, integration/consolidation and evolution/transformation.
This leadership role will effectively manage the development of their team and support department projects and roadmaps while ensuring resources are effectively assigned to meet project needs, all while maintaining relationship between the business areas and IT.
Key Responsibilities
  • Directs projects and business initiatives requiring implementing SAP changes.
  • Serves as SAP subject-matter expert for ISU modules & technologies.
  • Manages implementation of medium/large scale SAP solutions/projects.
  • Conducts governance meetings with business lead and review Roadmap/Portfolio, Maintenance Service Requests and SLAs adherence.
  • Works collaboratively with the business areas and IT management team and staff in the development and maintenance of business applications/solutions to ensure IT standards adherence.
  • Responsible for driving the annual demand process (PDS) with the business areas under their responsibility.
  • Works collaboratively with the business to analyze, characterize and prioritize demand and align strategies.
  • Responsible for managing all the applications maintenance and support requests for responsible applications.
  • Works collaboratively with the business to analyze, characterize and prioritize the backlog, including regularly monitoring progress completion.
  • Responsible for managing the Application Map under its responsibility and continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, integration/consolidation and evolution/transformation.
  • Ensures effective lines of communication between various areas, processes and members are established and maintained.
  • Engages with IOC team members to ensure required resources are allocated to the applicable application project.
  • Daily management of staff, including internal CS staff and external CS consultants.
  • Responsible for their staff performance evaluation process. Proactively assesses CS resource requirements for business area initiatives which includes skill set requirements and training needs.
  • Oversees external vendors/resources and engages in related contract negotiations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with the application lifecycle management.
  • Experience working as an SAP IS-U CRM/Front office lead in supporting or managing customer care business demand.
  • Experience supporting meter-to-cash processes.
  • Experience working as a Functional Analyst, Business Relationship or in an IT consulting role.
  • Experience managing IT projects and resolving day-to-day issues.
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, organizational skills and ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Experience synthesizing and communicating complex information simply and accurately to non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field of study.
