Job description

Northern Sales Company, a well-established business with over 60 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated Route Sales Representative to join our team in Palmer, AK. In this full-time role, you will support our Route Sales Representative Lead in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring products are delivered, merchandised, and organized efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, build customer relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and success of a stable company. Responsibilities
  • Merchandise store shelves, coolers, and displays by rotating products and removing unsellable items.
  • Maintain and organize backstock areas, ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Assist the Route Sales Representative Lead in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Complete delivery paperwork, including credit/debit adjustments, processing payments, and providing proof of delivery.
  • Deliver customer orders and check in products with each customer’s receiver.
  • Provide coverage for the Route Sales Representative Lead during absences or vacations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in delivery and merchandising preferred.
  • At least 23-years old due to insurance requirements.
  • Familiarity with operating non-CDL box trucks and willingness to learn relevant regulations preferred.
  • Current driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid DOT physical.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
Compensation

$25.00 per hour plus participation in a sales bonus program. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
