Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that hotel guest room quality exceeds our guest's expectations by managing the graded room inspection program and the housekeeping variance program through coaching and discipline.
  • Inspects the rooms inspectors have already inspected to improve the performance of our hotel room inspectors. Conducts training, coaching and discipline as needed.
  • Manages the Graded Room Inspection program by recording the results of graded inspections and ensures that room inspectors are performing them on a timely and fairly basis.
  • Personally inspects all VIP guest rooms and ensures that their requests are completed.
  • Inspects guest common areas to improve the performance of our house attendants.
  • Researches guest recoveries and complaints to correct the source of the service failure.
  • Implements plans for all housekeeping team members as directed by the Executive Housekeeper, the General Manager, and the Director of Hotel Operations.
  • Communicates priority department guest and group developments.
  • Assists the Room Inspectors in daily opening and closing operations and morning briefings.
  • Monitors daily laundry process to ensure quality production that is timely and efficient and provides direction to laundry leads and laundry attendants as needed.
  • Performs monthly linen inventories for hotel operations and provides a recap of current monthly inventory levels and ordering needs.
  • Assists the Executive Housekeeper in ordering hotel supplies as needed and within budget.
  • Prepares weekly department schedules to meet business demand and meet labor budget limitations.
  • Tracks weekly labor hours to stay within budget and maintains the daily guest room attendant labor report to identify guest room attendant productivity issues and addresses them.
  • Assists the Executive Housekeeper in all training efforts and professional development of housekeeping team members.
  • Conducts safety audits of the hotel and ensures that all team members are following proper safety procedures. Addresses all unsafe conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
  • Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as the company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.

Work Environment:
The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.
