What is the 25% rule in roofing?

The 25% rule in roofing refers to a guideline that limits the amount of new roofing material to cover no more than 25% of the existing roof at a time during repairs or replacement. This helps prevent overloading the structure and ensures proper installation, especially when working with asphalt shingles or other materials. Roofing professionals often follow this rule to maintain safety and quality standards during projects.

What are some common challenges roofers face on the job, and how can they be managed effectively?

Roofers often encounter challenges such as working at heights, exposure to varying weather conditions, and handling heavy materials. To manage these challenges, it's important to use proper safety equipment, follow established safety protocols, and stay physically fit. Roofers also need to communicate closely with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency. Building good teamwork and staying up-to-date with training can help overcome daily obstacles and contribute to a safer, more productive work environment.

What does a roofer do?

Their job includes inspecting roof damage, removing old roofing, and ensuring roofs are watertight and structurally sound.
