Lava Roofing is an established Hawaii roofing company with more than 25 years of experience serving residential, commercial, and government clients. Our team delivers honest service, professional craftsmanship, and roofing solutions designed for Kona's intense sun, wind, rain, salt air, and coastal environment.


Lava Roofing is seeking a dependable General Roofing Laborer to support projects throughout Kona and the surrounding Big Island communities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and is ready to contribute to a hardworking roofing crew. Previous roofing experience is helpful but not required. A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist roofing crews with installations, repairs, reroofing, and tear-offs.
  • Load, unload, carry, and organize roofing materials and equipment.
  • Prepare work areas and help protect customers' properties.
  • Remove old roofing materials and clean up debris.
  • Assist with measuring, cutting, positioning, and securing materials.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Keep job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow company safety requirements and crew instructions.
  • Complete additional job-site duties as needed.

Qualifications

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2, nonexempt employment.
  • Pay: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Overtime may be available depending on project schedules and will be paid in accordance with applicable law.

  • On-the-job training and opportunities to develop roofing skills.
