Is roofing a good job?

Roofing can be a great job for candidates who meet the physical requirements of the job. As a roofer, you work long hours outside in all sorts of weather. It has good job security and allows you to work either for yourself or as part of an agency. If you are in an area with extreme or variable weather, you may find the jobs less frequent during some months. You may also end up working overtime to try and beat adverse conditions, like impending rain. If you work in an area like tornado alley or on the east coast, you may find reliable work doing repairs to hurricane and tornado damaged homes.
