HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Robotics Lab Manager to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Job Title: Robotics Lab Manager

Job ID: 121325

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Cambridge, MA / Onsite

Role/Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1) Understanding, cataloging, and managing all hardware, component, and physical inventory associated with the lab

2) Facilitate and Organize lab spaces to ensure optimal layout, cleanliness, and care for all Robotics.

3) Manage sensitivities around any hardware or equipment and ensure that all procedures and policies are followed to ensure no damage or disruption.

4) Responsible to ensure all safety measures are in place and followed for all lab equipment.

5) Responsible for all requirements to be met and maintained around lab equipment, including maintenance and calibration schedules.

6) Train Work force or extended team on safe operation of Robotics at lab on hardware and equipment.

7) Conduct Experiments on the lab equipment and components and triage the issues

8) Develop and maintain processes and best practices for the lab personnel

..Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a laboratory, manufacturing, or technical facility management role, preferably within a robotics or engineering environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience with asset tracking, inventory control systems, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and experience ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Technical aptitude sufficient to understand equipment maintenance needs and assist with experimental setup and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to instruct and coordinate large and extended teams.
  • Ability to assess robotic system performance and recommend design, reliability, efficiency, or cost improvements
  • Exposure to controls, PLCs or embedded control architectures is a strong advantage
  • Proven ability to independently assess project scope, complexity, and risks and define effective technical plans
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet development timelines in a fastpaced R&D or product environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting, design reviews, and crossfunctional collaboration
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers, electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and external vendors
  • Comfortable presenting technical concepts and design decisions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: 93,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: 143,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
