Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

Job Location: Milford, Delaware

Shift: 3p-11p or 11p-7a

Schedule: Full-time status equals 10 days a pay cycle (5 days a week) and every other weekend. Part time status is 2 shifts a week minimum

Job Summary:

Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team! As an RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents while leading and mentoring our nursing team. If you are a passionate and compassionate nursing professional with a strong foundation in long-term care, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.

Essential Functions:

  • Promote regulatory compliance through demonstrating working knowledge of long-term care regulations and participating in efforts towards consistent survey readiness

  • Assist the nursing team in providing resident care when professional nursing skills/judgment is needed

  • Continually supervise and evaluate resident care throughout the shift

  • Ensure any staffing changes are in alignment with budgeted staffing plan and address any staffing concerns as they arise

  • Identify learning needs of staff and participate in educational opportunities in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator and nursing leaders

  • Provide mentoring and coaching to staff when needed

  • Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed/requested

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive service excellence behaviors when dealing with all customers

  • Responsible for interacting directly with residents’ families to answer their questions and ease their concerns

  • Ensure and/or assist with transcribing all doctor orders timely and accurately

  • Oversees and/or assists with administering IVs and other medications

  • Assist with or complete admissions/discharging of the residents

  • Ensure safety of residents, customers and facility through awareness of and conscientious application of policies and procedures and emergency responses

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of previous Registered RN Supervisor experience recommended

  • Current Delaware RN license

  • Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC) nursing documentation program preferred
