The Director of Nursing, RN, formally called Director of Health & Wellness, will oversee all resident care across our Memory Care neighborhoods. You will perform thorough health assessments for each new resident, monitor the health status of all current residents, and ensure care plans are managed successfully.

The Director of Health & Wellness, RN will:
  • Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes their individual needs and rights. Monitor compliance in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines.
  • Perform thorough health assessments for each new resident, monitor the health status of all current residents, and ensure level care assessments and care plans are completed in accordance to Artis Senior Living's policy and procedures and in accordance to state regulations.
  • Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental, or behavioral conditions.
  • Oversee Care team's administration of medication and/or treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders.
  • Supervise Care team, evaluating skill and performance. Provide coaching and training on an on-going basis to ensure team members are providing an elevated care experience for residents, in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines.
  • Actively participate in departmental team member recruiting and retention.
  • Operate and maintain the Care department while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Participate in the management of community adherence to legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes. Have a thorough understanding of all emergency plans.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Must possess current RN designation as granted by the state of NJ.
  • Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by state.
  • Experience in senior living, long term care or rehabilitative environments.
