Job description
Our company is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to manage all aspects of groups sales, marketing, including brand management, growth planning, and integrated marketing. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for building strategies to increase our brand awareness and business market share. As the Director of Restaurant Sales & Marketing you will collaborate with key stakeholders in a dynamic environment and have autonomy in your day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities are to manage sales & marketing, advertising, and promotional activities including but not limited to:
  • Responsible for soliciting business for group sales and private buyout events at all Clique Hospitality venues.
  • Develop sales strategy for defined market segments, industries & conventions.
  • Build, maintain and target client database (from internal and external sources): convention business, tour operators, meeting planners, party planners, corporate, social, concierges, non-profit, fundraisers, DMC's, etc.
  • Attend local industry events to maintain presence within the community
  • Understand competitive set pricing and capabilities to be able to sell against;
  • Follow up on leads;
  • Prepare sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials.
  • Schedule DMC/client visits;
  • Perform Sales Calls, site visits, entertaining, cold calls; Screen all new inquiries and distribute accordingly;
  • Enter Prospective, Tentative and Definite Bookings into booking system;
  • Generate a Banquet Event Order and/or Event Contract, contracting the event specifications.
  • Follow-up with the Event Planner to secure an executed/signed contract and deposit.
  • Communicate all Event details to all departments of the restaurant via the weekly and daily BEOs, Reports and Manager Meetings.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure successful events;
  • Execute and service exclusive venue buyouts onsite as needed.
  • Confirm menus/guarantees.
  • Create/print menus; Drop off menus to venues.
  • At completion of function, follow-up with the client to thank them and secure possible future business.
  • Closing bookings/pulling checks.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and long-range to ensure profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to develop strategic plans on identified opportunities.
  • Generate and manage marketing content, for proposals and presentations.
  • Work with the design team to create new marketing ads for campaigns, events, and concepts.
  • Conceptualize, organize and execute special events.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the operational team on special offers, special events, and marketing material placement.
  • Manage, monitor, review, and report on marketing activity and results.
  • Manage budget allocation and monthly spend tracking.
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships with social groups owners/coordinators to conceptualize and create special events.
  • Coordinate with Hotel/Casino teams on brand exposure, food, and beverage specials, execution of special events, and marketing proposals.
  • Propose social influencers' venue features and/or special offers.
  • Active talent scouting.
  • Oversee video/photoshoots.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends in all aspects; identify new trends, analyze insights, and optimize spending performance.
  • Propose new & creative growth strategies.
  • Strategize brand awareness & consistency.
  • Engage in community outreach and partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or advertising.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven with strong self-organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experienced in the following platforms OpenTable, SevenRooms, Toast, TripAdvisor, MetaBusiness, Google Business, and Google Ads.
