Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Leadership

Own and evolve FB Society’s enterprise data strategy, transforming data into actionable insights that drive performance across the business.

Develop and maintain a scalable AWS-based analytics ecosystem.

Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Technology to identify KPIs, analytics needs, and data-driven opportunities.

Data Architecture & Engineering Oversight

Serve as the primary architect and operator for the company’s data warehouse environment in AWS.

Manage and enhance data pipelines, transformation logic, and modeling layers using:

Amazon Redshift

Dbt (data build tool)

AWS Lambda

Python scripting

Additional AWS services such as S3, Glue, Step Functions, and CloudWatch

Support and guide one web developer responsible for building and maintaining BI-facing tools and dashboards.

Analytics, Reporting & Insights

Build and maintain enterprise dashboards using Power BI.

Apply advanced analytics to support forecasting, pricing, guest analytics, restaurant performance, and operational efficiency.

Conduct data science tasks such as regression, classification, clustering, or predictive modeling when beneficial to the business.

Oversee and integrate the Oracle Hyperion accounting data subset that sits atop the data warehouse.

Preferred Skills & Experience

AWS & Data Engineering Expertise (Required)

Deep hands-on experience with the AWS analytics stack, including:

Amazon Redshift

Dbt

AWS Lambda

Python scripting

S3, Glue, IAM, Step Functions, CloudWatch, or other relevant services

Strong understanding of data warehousing, modeling methodologies, and ETL/ELT best practices.

BI, Analytics & Tools

Proficiency with Power BI including dataset modeling, DAX, and dashboard development.

Experience integrating Oracle Hyperion data into BI environments.

Past success managing enterprise-scale implementations of POS, CRM, inventory, or related restaurant systems.

Exposure to NLP, sentiment analysis, or applied machine learning is a plus.

Business & Leadership Skills

Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest analytics, and multi-unit business structures.

Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a lean environment.

Experience mentoring or directing the work of a small technical team.
