Job description

The Momofuku Group is comprised of restaurants and bakeries located in the US, Australia, and Canada, a magazine, and an equipment manufacturing company.  We are fun, exciting and fast-paced. The General Manager oversees all Front of House operations while working very closely with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.  S/he must play an active role, alongside the management team, in constantly refining and defining our service. S/he will be responsible for hiring, managing and training FOH management and staff. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Continual improvement of all FOH operations
  • Coordinating all hiring, training, and staffing for all FOH positions
  • Training and enforcing Momofuku protocols and standards
  • Working closely with chefs; act as liaison to accomplish BOH's pursuit of serving delicious food
  • Ensuring that guests enjoy the Momofuku experience 
  • Manage administrative task (FOH inventory, payroll, scheduling, etc.)
  • Enforcing standards of service and assisting all managers in building a strong service team
  • Determining and managing pars on any service related item (including but not limited to all table pre-sets, dining room mise en place, coat check items, etc.)
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with our business partners 
  • Monitoring all FOH operating costs, identifying issues, and strategizing improvements
