As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate, driven leaders to join our team now that we are growing our restaurant company into the northern New Jersey market.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef to play a key leadership role in our newest concept Capon's Chophouse. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to menu development, drive kitchen performance, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead BOH operations including scheduling, inventory, ordering, and prep systems
  • Maintain a positive, productive kitchen culture that fosters learning, accountability, and excellence
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety (DOH compliance a must)
  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring hourly kitchen staff
  • Contribute to seasonal menu planning and daily specials in alignment with concept and brand
  • Ensure consistency and execution of all dishes during high-volume service

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience as Sous Chef or higher in fast-paced, upscale or chef-driven kitchens
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams in multi-unit or high-volume settings
  • Deep understanding of modern culinary techniques, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen systems
  • Financial literacy for labor management and cost of goods
  • Years of experience with ordering and inventory management
  • Experience with relevant online restaurant management platforms (Margin Edge, Dinemarket and Toast)
  • Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Servsave management level (or ability to obtain)
  • Spanish language skills a plus
